Interested businesses submit a completed proposal to demonstrate that they meet the eligibility criteria and to present a business case for their proposed project.
The application window closed to new applications at 6:00pm PDT on June 1, 2021.
All submitted proposals will be reviewed upon intake closure by an internal review committee with subject matter expertise. Funding decisions will be determined by late July 2021. All applicants will be contacted once funding decisions are finalized.
Successful applicants will be awarded funding for their project. Projects must be implemented and completed by January 31, 2022.
All businesses must report back on project outcomes within two months from the earlier of your project end date, or by February 15, 2022.
All proposals will be evaluated using a merit-based review process. A merit-based review process is used to allocate funding to projects that best meet the merit assessment criteria. As this is a competitive process, not all applicants will be awarded funding despite meeting criteria or funding may be provided at a reduced amount.
Proposals will be evaluated based upon the information provided in the submitted proposal form. The project must meet all eligibility criteria set out in the Program Guidelines.
Applicants will be evaluated on the following merit criteria:
1. Project Information
2. Project Workplan
3. Project Risks and Mitigation Strategies
4. How the Project Advances Program Objectives:
5. Alignment with Government Objectives
6. Budget Information
Over the course of the program, applicants selected to participate in the program will need to report on project activities and funding through:
1. Progress Reports
The successful applicants will be required to provide progress reports describing the activities completed and progress made towards deliverables.
2. Final Report
Upon completion of the project, a final report is required detailing process, performance and financial highlights over the project duration. The report should include project outcomes, economic impacts, and learnings.
